Expertsessie Re:Creating Europe

During Spring 2016 De Balie and DutchCulture organized the 3 day event “Re:Creating Europe” – Forum on European Culture. Artists, thinkers, politicians and economists from everywhere in Europe came together in Amsterdam to talk about Europe and the future of Europe.

Lucas De Man led an expert session focussing on the value, power and impact of art and culture for Europe. Which cultural values are connecting us? How can art and culture provide creative solutions for the issues that seem to divide Europe? And how would European artists shape the future of Europe?

On the 2nd of June creatives from different disciplines and different corners of Europe came together and defined the current creator (creative professional) and formulated how they would like to organize themselves in the future.
