Lucas De Man was one of the hosts of YPO Edge 2019 in Cape Town, South Africa. Next to that, he created and hosted a break-out session for YPO about the generation that is going to take the lead in the upcoming years titled: And the millennials will save us.
Lucas welcomed his audience to a pleasantly high paste show with and about the millennial generation. These people born between 1980 and 1999 are supposed to be special, sheltered, confident, team-oriented, conventional, pressured, and achieving… ehmmm, what? Let Lucas clear this up for you. In this show he introduced a panel of YPO’s finest millennial speakers. And took his audience to East Asia, the continent where the vast majority of millennials are located. He met and spoke to over 100 millennials overthere: ranging from students to professors, corporate business owners to social entrepreneurs, experts in robotics and artificial intelligence to experts in love and sex to find out what drives and moves them. The audience was surprised with a mix of discussions, videoclips, humor and statements and ended up with having an idea on who those millennials really are and how they are changing the world.
