The Club 2.0
This project started as a daring adaptation of the cult classic of the 90’s, and has evolved into a deepened, unsparing analysis of and a provocative dialogue with a generation (20 – 35 years old). A generation that has no ideals but keeps on searching. A generation that will have to take over leadership of the community soon, and that we want to ask: where do we stand? What are we doing?
The Club is a direct conversation about responsibility and making choices. A conversation about the pressing need to fill in the void that has emerged since the loss of all Great Stories, and has since the failing of the hyperindividualism in the 90’s only become bigger. Where do we stand now? In what kind of world are we living and how does that affect us? What do we want and how can we achieve anything? What do we want to achieve? What are we going to do right now? It’s a conversation that goes beyond words but searches for action.
The Club was produced by Company New Heroes in collaboration with Frascati Producties, Trudo, The Building, Roest, Amaro, JC Rags, Fonds Podiumkunsten, Stichting DOEN, BKKC, Strijp-S Cultuurfonds, Amsterdams Fonds voor de Kunst, VSB Fonds en het Lira Fonds.
The Club nights took place in Amsterdam (Roest), Eindhoven (The Building) and Utrecht (NUtrecht).
